the revolution may or may not be televised (stay tuned)

so far this weekend all i've been able to do, successfully, repeatedly,
is sit alone stoned and listen to sarah mclachlan
sing "when she loved me," and "be moved."
anyway,

this is all going to change.

tonight i'm going to watch FAILURE TO LAUNCH. see,
last night i saw an advertisement, for FAILURE TO LAUNCH.
wow, i thought, that looks boring and unchallengingly barely if at all funny.
BUT WAIT. i'm not really "happy." i don't "fit in." here i am "alone." normal people watch
FAILURE TO LAUNCH,
and they laugh, what a funny movie all the time, and they're happy, right?

hahahahahah!!!!!!
matthew mcconaughey is old and lives at home!!!
the movie hasn't started, but just thinking about it
i'm laughing already!!!

i'm going to watch FAILURE TO LAUNCH
and let every joke surprise me
(Like Pretending To Be Surprised And Happy Opening A Gift
When You Already Knew What Was Inside, And It Was
Average?)

until expectations dissolve, and everything tense
will relax, and i'll float like crisp+sugared cereal
on my back in the cool milk of
America.
i will laugh with America, and in so doing become
America.
i will impersonate Well-Adjusted-Middle
and adapt softly into its arms.
i will begin to
enjoy myself.

tonight,
i'm going to watch the hell out of FAILURE TO LAUNCH.
