today at work i was going to say

i think i'm emotionally ready
to make these copies now

but i didn't.

i had a dream that i spent two hours
in a wendy's
waiting for them to give me
my burrito.

first it was misincorporated
into the person next to me's
burrito, rolled into it
like a snowball.

then there was just delay,
while the field trip went on
without me.

eventually they gave me
a cheeseburger
which i unwrapped
and took a bite out of
before i realized that it wasn't
a burrito.

i yelled at you, dream girl,
even though it wasn't your fault.

wendy's doesn't even DO burritos.
